From January 10th to 16th, 2026, I embarked on a memorable ministry mission to Douala, Cameroon, under the Diocese of Cameroon. What awaited me there was nothing short of God’s grace in motion—open doors, warm fellowship, renewed connections, and a visible growth in the Anglican witness across the region.

This newsletter highlights the key moments, ministry engagements, and blessings that shaped this successful mission.
Warm Reception & Episcopal Recognition

One of the most humbling moments of the mission came when the Diocese of Cameroon formally recognized my visit and conferred on me the Diocese and Merit Award, personally presented by the Bishop of Cameroon.
This was not just an award—it was an affirmation of partnership, shared ministry vision, and mutual respect between the Diocese of Cameroon and our missionary work. It remains a visible sign of growing collaboration across the Anglican family in Africa.

Ministry Across Douala — Four Parishes, One Gospel
Throughout the mission, I had the privilege of functioning liturgically and evangelically in four parishes within Douala, ministering the Word, strengthening the brethren, and encouraging the faithful.
Every parish presented a unique expression of faith:
- Vibrant worship
- Solid Anglican identity
- An unmistakable hunger for the Gospel
These congregations represent the heart of the Church in Cameroon—resilient, joyful, and growing in confidence.

Mission Visitations & Cross-Border Fellowship
A major highlight of this trip was the opportunity to conduct several mission visitations, including ministry to a priest serving in the Chad Mission. Listening to the stories coming out of these mission fields reminded us that the Gospel continues to push beyond borders, cultures, and languages.
This aspect of the mission strengthened our sense of global Anglicanism—one body, many locations, one purpose.
Reconnecting with Old Friends
Cameroon is not unfamiliar territory to our region’s Anglican story, and Douala holds a special place for many of us. I was blessed to reconnect with brothers and friends whom the Lord joined to us in past seasons of ministry.
These reconnections served as reminders that ministry relationships are seeds—sometimes they go silent, but in due season, they produce fruit.
The Church in Cameroon — A Growing Witness
One of the most encouraging sights was witnessing firsthand how much the Church in Cameroon has grown. From parish structures to clergy presence, from youth involvement to community outreach, the Diocese of Cameroon is establishing a bold footprint.
- There is vision
- There is order
- There is fire
And there is a clear pathway for future missionary collaboration.
Partnership, Unity & Future Engagement
I am deeply thankful for the Bishop of Cameroon, the priests, and diocesan leadership who opened their doors and hearts. Their hospitality and cooperation ensured that this mission was not just possible, but fruitful.
As we look forward, our partnership with the Diocese of Cameroon will continue—rooted in:
- Shared mission
- Mutual encouragement
- Kingdom advancement
I remain grateful to God for what He has begun, and I am confident He will continue to perfect the work.
Conclusion
The Cameroon Mission, Douala 2026, was an overwhelming success. It was marked by grace, fellowship, ministry impact, and visible growth in the body of Christ.
My prayer is that this partnership will continue to enrich both dioceses, expand our missionary horizon, and advance the Gospel across nations.

It was a spiritually enriching and unforgettable experience.
I also wish to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the priests and congregations of the following churches for receiving me with joy and generosity:
- Victory Anglican Church, New Bell Douala — VCRevd Canon Samba Njegani (Denis)
- Calvary Anglican Church, Bois De Singe Douala — Revd Canon Clifford Ugwu Chukwudi

To the clergy, the laity, and all who shared fellowship, worship, and retreat moments with me — thank you. I will always cherish the kindness, the openness, and the depth of Christian love I encountered here.
Thank you, Douala. Thank you, Diocese of Cameroon, for hosting me. May the Lord continue to strengthen His Church in this land and multiply His grace among you all.
