A Heart of Gratitude: Ministering in Faith and Fellowship in Douala

Thanksgiving Message — 12 January 2026

To the Right Reverend Dibo Thomas-Babyngton Elango
Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Cameroon
and
Mrs. Estelle Dibo Elango,
your beloved wife and partner in ministry,

I give glory and praise to Almighty God for the great honor bestowed upon me today, 12 January 2026, by the Anglican Diocese of Cameroon through your gracious invitation and hospitality. I am deeply moved by the warmth, love, and Christian fellowship that I experienced in every moment of my time here in Douala.

It has been a privilege beyond measure to minister among the faithful in this vibrant and growing diocese. I have witnessed in your communities a remarkable spirit of faith, hope, and love that points clearly to the presence of God at work among you.

Over the course of my stay:

  • I have seen the growth and unity of the Church under your faithful leadership.
  • I have experienced meaningful worship and vibrant engagement in the life of the diocese.
  • I have been humbled by the eagerness of so many brothers and sisters in Christ to grow deeper in discipleship and service.
  • I have felt true Cameroonian hospitality that goes beyond simple cordiality — a kindness and generosity rooted in Christian love.

Thank you, Bishop Elango, for your vision, pastoral strength, and servant-heart leadership. Thank you, Mrs. Estelle Dibo Elango, for the encouragement, support, and grace you bring to your husband’s ministry and to the life of the Church here. Your partnership in the Gospel shines brightly for all to see.

I am profoundly grateful for the privilege to minister in most of the churches in Douala — a divine opportunity that has enriched my own spiritual journey and strengthened the bonds of our shared calling. May our Lord continue to bless, expand, and prosper the work of His kingdom through your leadership in Cameroon and beyond.

With deep appreciation and Christ’s abiding peace,
Ok sir
